Local Outreach
We seek to be obedient to the Great Commission (cf Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8) by taking the Gospel to our community. FBC believes that evangelism should be:
- God-centered rather than man-centered
- Theology driven rather than method driven
- Discipleship oriented rather than decision oriented.
FBC sponsors several community outreach programs designed to reach the children of Northwest Arkansas. Our After School Clubs provide us an opportunity to go into public elementary schools to teach school children the Bible through music, memorization of scripture and missionary testimonies. During the summer months, we have 5 Day Clubs at several locations around Northwest Arkansas and a Vacation Bible School here at FBC. Some of the material used in our outreach ministries is provided by Evantell and Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Whetstone Ministries
FBC supports Whetstone Ministries which uses the outdoors to encourage men in their relationships with God and in their calling as Christian fathers and husbands. The Bible is taught in a setting of family camps, fishing and canoe trips, construction skills camp and canoe paddle workshops where fathers and their children work together.
Overseas Missions
Gideons International
Hebrews 4:12 says “For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” Consistent with that statement is Gideons International, an organization that distributes Bibles in over 100 different languages.
Thru the Bible Radio
We believe the Bible is true and trustworthy and that God uses his word in each of our lives to transform how we think, believe and live. The ministry of Thru the Bible Radio supports that belief by broadcasting in over 160 countries the messages of the late Dr. J Vernon McGee as he preaches through the Bible verse by verse.
Individual Missionaries
FBC supports a number of individual missionaries serving around the world whose singular goal is to spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Each missionary we support is considered to be an integral part of our church body and as such, we prayerfully meet the financial, physical, spiritual and training needs of each person and their family.
