Currently, opportunities for men are listed below.

Small Groups. Topics and locations change throughout the year. Contact Stephen O’Brien with any questions. Current groups are:

  • Fridays at 6:30 – 7:30 am. Led by Pastor Steve & Pastor Des at the church. Currently we are studying the book of James.  Recently Studied: 2 Thessalonians, 1 Thessalonians, Courageous Churchmen by Jerry Wragg, Titus, James, All Things For Good by Thomas Watson, Hebrews, Galatians.
  • Wednesdays at 7 pm. Young Men’s Group led by Michael Bader and volunteers at the church. Currently studying Studies in the Sermon on the Mount by Martyn Lloyd Jones.

Leadership Training.  Our focus is to disciple men toward a spiritual maturity of Christ. All men are welcome to join us at 8am at the church on the 4th Saturday of every month. We will be reading through & discussing a number of books together as men.

This year’s books will include:

  • “Devoted to God – Blueprints for Sanctification” by Sinclair Ferguson
  • “Taking God at His Word” by Kevin DeYoung
  • “The Word Became Fresh” by Dale Ralph Davis
  • “Biblical Eldership” by Alexander Strauch
  • “Free to Be Holy” by Jerry Wragg and Paul Shirley.

Mentoring.  Our focus is to disciple men toward a spiritual maturity of Christ. How better than to spend time together 1:1 or in small groups to encourage one another to love and good works for the edification of each other. Heb 10:24. Mentor circles are active throughout our church across NWA.  Some have been in place for over 25 years. 

Men’s Sermon Chat.  A handful of men meet weekly to discuss the previous weeks sermon. All men are welcome Tuesday mornings 7AM at the Wagon Wheel Country Cafe.

Men’s Retreat. For the past 3 years a group of men have assembled for regular Men’s retreat in January.  In 2024 we attended the Courageous Churchmen conference in Jupiter, FL. we attending   The conference’s theme was ‘The Pastor and his Care of Souls‘. The conference included teaching & panel discussions.  The men’s retreat is always good time of learning & deeper fellowship with others at our church.  Past retreats have included the Speaking The Truth in Love conference in Houston.

Men’s Fall Pig Roast.  The men from time to time will gather for a special time of praise, fellowship, a devotional, and a whole lot of food.  All ages are welcome. Watch the announcements at church in the fall for more information.

The Men’s Sunrise Service at Family Camp.  During the annual fall family camp we enjoy gathering together as men for a special time of praise, fellowship, and teaching.
